Four Venezuelans Detained, Cops Seize Marijuana

Four Venezuelan nationals were arrested and 1.102 kilogrammes of marijuana seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Aranguez on Thursday.

In a statement on Saturday morning, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service said during the exercise, a search warrant was executed at a home on Williams Street Aranguez, where officers found two packets containing marijuana with a weight of 1.102 kilograms.

The marijuana was seized and the four Venezuelan suspects were arrested.

The exercise was spearheaded by Ag/Snr Supt Maharaj, Ag/Supt Alexander, Ag/ASP Pariman,  coordinated and supervised by Sgt Bharath and included members of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF).


Investigations are continuing.
