Four-year-old Amarah Lallitte has become the country’s latest homicide victim after being beheaded at her home at Fifth Street, Five rivers, Arouca on Monday night.

The girl’s head was reportedly chopped off with a knife by a 39-year-old man who is now in police custody.

According to reports, baby Amarah’s mother visited the Arouca Police Station shortly after 10pm seeking the help of the officers. 

Police immediately escorted the woman back to her home where they discovered the child’s headless body in one of the family’s two bedrooms. Her head was found stuffed in a barrel.
