Government Has Spent $65M On Salary Relief Grants To Date

Government has paid a total of 45,694 Salary Relief Grants to date, at a value of $65 million.

Providing he update on Thursday, Finance Minister Colm Imbert said this comprises 25,528 Grants for April and 17,166 Grants for May.

The State had initially allocated $400million for the grants- however Minister Imbert later said applications would be reviewed and fulfilled based on a continued need- given some applicants would have resumed work with the ease of lockdown restrictions. 

Minister Imbert said processing of grant applications continues and the Salary Relief Grant Screening Unit is reaching out to applicants who have not submitted all required information.
