The Government has issued a warning to persons who try to defraud the measures being implemented by the Ministry of Social Development to help struggling families suffering from the fallout of the Covid-19 virus.

Communications Minister Donna Cox said in a statement that: “Persons who are caught declaring information, which is deemed false, will be reported to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and will face the full penalty of the law once charged. This relates to both the employer and the employee.

Kindly note that the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services has not authorized anyone who is not an employee of the Ministry to assist persons in filling out application forms. Members of the public are asked to be guided accordingly.”
