Griffith Alleges “Unnamed” Police Unit Tasked With Finding Dirt On Him

By Newsroom

Without calling specific names, former Police Commissioner Gary Griffith has accused government of creating an unnamed unit within the TTPS, tasked solely with investigating him.

Griffith, while speaking in his capacity as political leader of the National Transformation Alliance, said he has written to the Police Complaints authority, the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Police Service Commission and the Professional Standards Bureau to investigate his claim.

“Their job is to meet everyday to see what they could do to bring down Gary Griffith. This is the kind of dictatorship we intend to put an end to. Because you cannot have arms of the Police service working to the directives of politicians because you might give them a promise of a substantive post if they get Gary Griffith arrested,” the former Police Commissioner said.
