Health Ministry records 102 New COVID-19 Cases

The Ministry of Health provides the following update: 

One hundred and two (102) additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

It should be noted that, of the one hundred and two (102) COVID-19 positive cases reported, forty-three (43) of these refer to persons who were housed at the Police Training Academy and have not been in circulation within the national community. These individuals will be transferred to a public health facility for relevant medical care.  All established protocols have been implemented.

The one hundred and two (102) positive cases reported above show results from samples taken during the period August 29th to September 8th, 2020. Therefore, this figure is NOT representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

-Six (6) persons have been discharged.

COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (103)

One thousand four hundred and sixty-two (1,462) patients have been home isolated under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices. 

One hundred and two (102) new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
