The Ministry of Health has recorded 132 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 1,384. 

In its morning update for Wednesday (August 26), the Ministry emphasized that the 132 cases are from samples taken over the past week and are therefore not representative of cases recorded over the last 24 hours alone. 

Meanwhile,  14 patients have been discharged from across four of the State’s step-down facilities:

 -UWI, Debe – 8

-UWI, Canada Hall – 3

-Balandra – 2

-Tacarigua – 1

Of the 1,384 cases recorded, 1,177 are presently active.
