Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has announced that this country has 673,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in hand. The ministry intends to use these in the upcoming Booster Programme. He also said that soon more will be done to help ease the burden of front-line health care workers. 

Minister Deyalsingh also said that he was very concerned about the situation and is in the process of implementing staff recruitment, rotation, psychological and detoxification sessions as well as meals at COVID-19 facilities.
