Italy has reported an additional 475 deaths from the Covid-19 virus today (Wednesday 18^th March). France which is also battling high numbers of infection has imposed a draconian lockdown. In the United States, the virus has now spread to all 50 states.

In the UK schools will be closed. As it stands, the World Health Organisation has confirmed more than 205,000 coronavirus cases worldwide, with the pandemic now affecting over 170 countries.
