Winston ‘Gypsy’ Peters has expressed gratitude after he was cemented as the candidate to contest the Moruga/Tableland seat for the People’s National Movement (PNM) in the upcoming general elections.
Peters, who previously served under the People’s Partnership government, was successfully screened by the PNM committee for Moruga/Tableland earlier this month.
I am humbled and honoured by the Executive Committee’s decision to select me to contest the Moruga/Tableland Constituency in the 2020 General Elections.
I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to the People’s National Movement (PNM), and it’s Political Leader, Prime Minister the honourable, Dr Keith Rowley.
I am looking forward to using my years of experience as a Member of Parliament (MP) and Government Minister to address the needs of the people of Moruga/Tableland, understanding the challenges within the Constituency.
Finally, I will like to extend gratitude to Dr. Lovell Francis- the outgoing MP, for his service and dedication to the people of Moruga/Tableland, and I wish him well in his endeavors moving forward.
