Following Ye’s recent downward spiral it seems that he has lost his billionaire status. The news comes as the eccentric rapper has been cut by Adidas. According to Forbes, the latest news officially bumps Ye’s billionaire title.

Without Adidas, he’s now worth an estimated USD $400 million.

Before the now-defunct deal, about 4 to 8% of all Adidas sales came from Ye’s Yeezy products. According to investment bank Cowen, the dead deal cost Ye $1.5 billion of his net worth.

The “Gold Digger” rapper’s remaining fortune comprises real estate assets, cash, and his music catalogue. The news of his deal being cut came via a press release from Adidas that stated that the brand “does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.”

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

Adidas has therefore decided to terminate the partnership, the end product of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to Ye and his companies, effective immediately. It is definitely a big blow for the rapper as the brand also revealed that they own all design rights to existing products and previous and new colourways under the partnership.
