One of T&T’s most renowned playwrights, screenwriter, actor and director Tony Hall has passed away at the age of 71-years-old. Hall, whose given name is Michael Anthony Hall was originally from San Fernando. He spent the years between 1973 and 1981 crafting his trade under Poet Laureate and Nobel Prize winner in Literature, Derek Walcott.
In 1987 he joined the mas fraternity and contributed to this country’s Carnival celebrations and he also worked closely with Peter Minshall. Even though there has been no official release on his death by family members, it is believed that Hall passed away due to a massive heart attack earlier today. Several of his close friends have taken to social media to extend their condolences. He leaves to mourn his wife, Lindsey children Mauri and and brother Dennis Hall, who is popularly known as Sprangalang. More as details become available.
