The TTPS has arrested one man and recovered a firearm and quantities of ammunition, drugs and Trinidad and Tobago Regiment-issued items.
The arrest came during an anti-crime exercise conducted by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force in the Febeau Village district this morning.
Officers, assisted by the Air Support Unit, conducted the exercise between 5 am and 9 am, on Wednesday 18th October, 2023, during which they proceeded to the home of a 28-year-old suspect.
A search of the premises resulted in officers finding one pistol loaded with a magazine containing 13 rounds of ammunition, a quantity of marijuana and a bullet-proof vest.
Further checks of the area resulted in the discovery of the following items in a clear plastic bag: -2 TTR caps -1 TTR belt -4 TTR patches -1 US Defence badge and -4 Passports (1 US and 3 TT)
