A 21-year-old man of Dillon Street, Diego Martin, will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today charged with one count of sexual penetration.

The suspect was arrested and charged on Wednesday 19th August, following a report made by a 16-year-old girl that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man.

According to the victim, while at home in the Diego Martin area the accused came into the house and had sex with her against her will.

A report was made to Child Protection Unit (CPU), Western Division.

The enquiry was spearheaded by W/Superintendent(Ag) George, ASP Nowbutt and supervised by INSP (Ag) Boodoo.
