An 18-year-old male remains in police custody as investigations continue into an armed robbery incident which occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday, police received a report of a robbery in progress at River Estate in Diego Martin.

Upon reaching the location they spotted four suspects, two of whom are alleged to have been armed with weapons.

One of the men, 21-year-old Derron Forde, was killed in an alleged exchange of gunfire with police while the teenager was taken into custody.

The two remaining suspects managed to escape.
