Marijuana Field Destroyed in Lopinot

Cops destroyed 500 marijuana trees and 200 seedlings during an exercise in Surrey Village, Lopinot on Wednesday morning.  Two men were held when the officers conducted a search at a house at Mc David Trace, Surrey Village and the suspects were found to be in possession of a homemade shotgun, three rounds of 12 gauge cartridges and 305 grams of marijuana. The suspects were arrested and then conveyed to the Tunapuna Police Station.

The party of officers- working with the K9 Unit made a trek one mile off the Mc David Trace where they found, and destroyed, a cannabis field with 500 fully grown trees. They destroyed the seedlings after these photos were taken.
