Mason ordered to take anger management sessions after threatening common-law wife

A 36-year-old man has been ordered to report to an Anger Management programme after pleading guilty to the charge of Common Assault. He was also granted his own bail in the sum of $20,000.

According to a TTPS statement, the accused man is a mason from Carlsen Field, Chaguanas. He appeared before Chaguanas Magistrate, Nicholas Ali on November 8th 2022.

“The charges stem from an incident which occurred between the accused and his former common-law partner on March 31st, 2022. According to reports, the accused and his common-law wife were having a conversation at home when he became annoyed and began
making threats towards her.”

A report was made and WPC Gransam of the Central Division Gender Based Violence Unit conducted investigations, leading to the arrest of the mason’s on November 3rd, 2022.

Investigations into the incident were supervised by Supt. (Ag.) Claire Guy-Alleyne, ASP Seecharran, Inspector Davidson and Cpl. (Ag.) Jagroop all of the Special Victims Department.
