A Matelot man has been disqualified from driving for one year and fined $5,000 in connection with two charges stemming from a road traffic accident that occurred on September 30th, 2023.

According to the TTPS, REGGIE WILSON, of St Helena Village, Matelot, who pleaded guilty to careless driving and driving without a certificate of insurance, was disqualified by Magistrate Nanette Forde-John when he appeared virtually at the Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Court.

WILSON was also fined $3,500 for failing to have a certificate of insurance and $1,500 for careless diving. He was charged by PC Walcott, of the Matelot Police Station, who conducted further enquiries into a road traffic accident report made by a woman.
