The National Day of Remembrance is observed annually in honour of those who served and in memory of those who fell in the World Wars of 1914–1918 and 1939–1945.

In a statement, the ministry also advised that:

“The President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; the Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; the Honourable the Chief Justice; the Minister of National Security and other Ministers of Government; Members of Parliament; Members of the Diplomatic Corps; Heads of the Defence and Protective Services; Senior Public Officials; representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Legion of Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League; and other dignitaries are expected to attend.”

The Parade will compromise members of the Defence and Protective Services, as well as Civil Society Organizations and they will convene at Queen’s Park Savannah East near Frederick Street and proceed South onto Frederick Street, then east onto Keate Street, entering Memorial Park via the southern entrance.

Following the Ceremony, the Parade will exit Memorial Park via the northern entrance, proceed onto Queen’s Park West in a westerly direction, back to Queen’s Park Savannah East near Frederick Street where it will be dismissed.
