The Health Ministry has updated a travel advisory that imposed restrictions on travellers from certain African countries. The restrictions came into effect on November 26 following the discovery of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. They have now been removed with immediate effect and apply to the following countries:

· Botswana

· Eswatini (formerly Swaziland)

· Lesotho

· Malawi

· Mozambique

· Namibia

· South Africa

· Zimbabwe
