Police are investigating the circumstances which led to the disappearance of two siblings and their cousin in Rio Claro.

Seventeen-year-old Kareena Baball, her sister 12-year-old Kashmira Baball and their cousin, Akeila Maniram age 13, were reported missing from their home in Cushe Village Rio Claro on Tuesday.

The three girls were found by a search party just before 8pm last night, at an abandoned house located a mere 100 metres from their grandmother’s home. 

In an update on the case on Wednesday night, the Hunters Search and Rescue Team shared, “It appears that four louvres panes were removed from a downstairs window, as a backpack was spotted in a bedroom.”

The girls are being kept at the Rio Claro Police Station for questioning as investigations continue.
