A shooting incident at Pinewood Drive, Carapo on Friday night has claimed the life of one man. 

44 year old Darren Perreira was gunned down outside his home shortly after 10:30pm. 

Residents say upon hearing the shots ring out, they looked outside and noticed a vehicle making a hasty departure. 

Police and ambulance services were contacted, however when they arrived at the scene, the man was already dead. 

Investigations are continuing.
