Muslim Reps Offer Help, Top Cops Gets A Copy of the Quran

The representatives of two Islamic Organisations paid a courtesy call on top cop Gary Griffith at his office at the Police Administration Building in  Port of Spain, on Thursday. The small group included President of the Caribbean Dawah Association (CDA), Asad Yacoobali, Association Member, Siddeeq Shakoor and Imam Sheraz Ali of the Nur-E-Islam Masjid. “During the meeting, the CDA presented the Commissioner with a gift on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for his hard work and dedication to the people of Trinidad and Tobago. He was also gifted with a copy of the Q’uran,” a Press Release from the  TTPS stated. “The CDA representatives also offered to help the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service find solutions to social issues affecting at-risk communities in the country, to which Commissioner Griffith expressed his appreciation and said he looked forward to having further discussions with the group on issues of mutual interest,” the TTPS News Release said.
