Natalee Legore Remains As Morning Brew Host, Guardian Media Says Her Statements Were “Blown Out Of Proportion”

By Newsroom

Rumors suggesting that talk show host and journalist Natalee Legore has been axed from her position for statements she made on Thursday morning’s program is simply untrue.

This was clarified by Legore’s employer, Guardian Media Limited on Friday evening, as the company sought to clarify its position on the matter which sparked controversy since its airing.

“On the morning of Thursday January 7th a lively discussion took place between Morning Brew hosts Natalee Legore and Akash Samaroo relating to the insurrection on Capitol Hill involving Trump supporters…Unfortunately, the discussion has been blown out of proportion by supporters on both sides of the political divide,” GML said in a statement.

Ms. Legore remains in the employment of Guardian Media and continues to be one of the hosts of the Morning Brew, it added.

Calls for Ms. Legore to apolgize for her statements were first made by the United National Congress, whom she had mentioned in her discussion, comparing their election messaging to US President Donald Trump’s.

“How you speak and what you have to say and casting doubt into electoral processes or institutions that are sound- that’s what happened in America,” Legore said as suggested that US President Donald Trump’s election fraud claims triggered his supporters to storm the US Capitol building.

She continued:”The United National Congress tried to cast the same kind of doubt on the electoral process, without evidence.”

In his first missive as PRO for the UNC, Kirk Meighoo called on Legore to apologize, calling her statements provocative.

“The UNC has always stood for democracy. Our statements post-election 2020 were ones which are guaranteed by our constitution to legally question electoral irregularities, as is provided for in any liberal democracy,” the party’s statement said.
