The TTPS has disclosed that North Central Division officers have made a major breakthrough in solving several reports of motor vehicle larceny in the Tunapuna and Arouca districts.

According to a statement from the TTPS, the breakthrough came following the arrest of a 20-year-old man, ROLAND MOONESAR, of El Dorado. He was charged with six counts of Motor Vehicle Larceny and two counts of Larceny, when he appeared before Master Shah on Monday 26th February, 2024.

He was granted bail in the sum of $150,000 to cover the eight charges.

One count of motor vehicle larceny was transferred to the Arima Magistrates’ Court, while the other five counts were transferred to the Tunapuna Magistrates’ Court, along with the two counts of larceny.

The matter was adjourned to March 20th, 2024. The breakthrough came on February 19th, 2024, when a victim made a report of motor vehicle larceny in the El Dorado district.
