Negative COVID-19 Test Results, Posthumously, For Tobago Security Guard

After a furore created on social media about the death of a security guard in Tobago, possibly due to COVID-19, the final word is that the subsequent test results were negative. The guard, whose firm was subcontracted to provide security at a Water and Sewage Authority (WASA) installation on the sister isle, died last week igniting fears that she may have had the coronavirus.

The fears were taken to mainstream media via the Minority Leader in the Tobago House of Assembly, Watson Duke, forcing the Tobago Division of Health and Wellness and Family Development to order self-quarantine for anyone who would have come into contact with her, as a precaution. The Division cleared the air when it issued the following statement:
