New York declares another State of Emergency

By Newsroom

Another State of Emergency has been declared in New York. Mayor Bill de Blasio made the declaration in New York City, earlier today as the number of coronavirus cases soared to 95 in the city.

The state of emergency would allow the city to potentially close public transportation, order people off the streets, ration supplies, establish curfews and close streets to vehicles. Even though none of those actions are yet being taken, under the state of emergency, the city has the authority to do so.
