No New COVID cases ; Elective Surgeries Resume At Hospitals

A total of 792 community surveillance testing for COVID-19 community surveillance testing for COVID-19 in both Trinidad and Tobago are all negative. In addition the number of positive cases remain at 116. As a result, the Ministry of Health has reported that elective surgeries, which were cancelled while the hospitals dealt with COVID-19, will resume on a phased basis and the hospitals will contact patients. These are the latest statistics from the daily press briefing hosted by the Ministry of Health:   Meantime, Surveillance testing will be ramped up in Tobago, as well, as the Division of Health and Wellness said testing is being conducted at selected sites throughout the island. Anyone with symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, cough, muscle pains, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever, headache, loss of sense of smell or taste or just generally feeling unwell, is being encouraged to visit any of the following sites to be tested for COVID-19: Canaan Health Centre (walk in service) Roxborough Health Centre (walk in service) Scarborough Health Centre (walk in service) Scarborough General Hospital (walk in service) Green Room (green coloured building at the old Scarborough Regional Hospital, Fort King George) [by appointment only; call 800-HEAL (4325) for appointment] Delaford Health Centre [by appointment only; call 800-HEAL (4325) for appointment]
