One man arrested and five guns seized in the Central Division

The TTPS has reported that they have seized five firearms and a quantity of ammunition following a report of Shooting with Intent, Wounding with Intent and Malicious Damage, in the Central Division yesterday morning (Oct. 3). One man was arrested.

According to the TTPS:

“Reports indicate that a male victim was at a business place in Felicity around 8:30 am, on Monday 3rd October, 2022, when he got into an altercation with two other men. During the incident, the man was allegedly dealt a blow to the back of his head with a heavy object by one of the men.

The other man then allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the sky and fired two shots before pointing it at the victim and firing three shots in his direction. The victim ran to his vehicle to seek shelter but was followed by the gunman who allegedly struck the windshield of the car with the gun.

A report was made to the police and officers of the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department proceeded to the Felicity district, where they arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with the incident.

One Glock 19 pistol, one Glock 30 pistol, one Smith and Wesson pistol, one Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, one Remington 12-gauge shotgun, six magazines and several rounds of assorted ammunition were seized from the suspect’s possession.
