Pointe a Pierre MP, David Lee

Understanding the need for “proper safeguards and transparency”, Pointe-a-Pierre Member of Parliament, Dr. David Lee, says notwithstanding this, the process to aquire government grants ought to be easier.

In a statement on Sunday, the UNC Deputy Political Leader outlined the “exhausting” process to apply for a Salary Relief Grant, referencing the fact that the application form is seven pages long and requires applicants to have a bank account.

He said “those in authority must take into consideration that thousands have already been placed on the breadline and are depending on this to meet monthly expenses, put meals on the table, as well as procure basic necessities.”
