One day after being hit with a second rejection in its quest to purchase the Petrotrin Refinery, the Patriotic Energies and Technologies Company Limited, owned by the Oilfield Workers Trade Union, has been given a third chance.

Finance Minister Colm Imbert today announced that Cabinet has granted a 15 day extension for the OWTU to present from Credit Suisse, a firm binding commitment to finance the US$500 million acquisition price for the state asset.
