Forty-year-old Annan Boysie of #11 Cedar Drive La Costena Development, Penal lost his life yesterday after he got trapped in the vehicle he was driving which was swept away by severe flood waters.

According to reports, the van Boysie was driving was pushed off the road and into a river which flows alongside the M1 Ring Road in Ste Madeliene. Police reports indicate that he was driving his van east along the road mentioned above when he tried to pass through the raging flood waters.

It is believed that he underestimated the force of the water and his vehicle was pushed into the nearby river. The TTFS responded and were eventually able to retrieve the vehicle from the river.
