The Water and Sewerage Authority has advised that it will be undertaking critical planned maintenance works at the Beetham Wastewater Treatment Plant, on Wednesday 10th January, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

As a result of these works, there may be higher than normal flows in the sewer collection system, leading to the possibility of overflowing manholes, in areas of lower Port of Spain and Beetham Gardens.

WASA’s teams will be on standby to respond in such cases, by pumping down these manholes and sanitizing the affected areas. For further information or assistance, customers can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800- 4420/4426.
