PM “Disappointed” Over AG’s Mask-less Appearance On Instagram Show

By Newsroom

“No one is above the rules.”

This was the sentiment shared by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, when asked about Attorney General Faris Al Rawi’s appearance at an entertainment show posted online, in which none of the participants were wearing masks.

In a recent installment of the Instagram Live show, ‘Vibes with Voicey’, hosted by artiste Voice, AG Al Rawi appeared with fellow guestsSuperintendent Roger Alexander and radio host Ancil Isaac aka Blaze were also in attendance.

“That’s disappointing,” Dr. Rowley said during Saturday’s Covid-19 press briefing.

“I expect every person in a leadership position in this country to demonstrate that leadership wherever you are, whenever you are out. I’m not giving any passes to anybody,” he said.

Mr. Al Rawi, who shared images from the live show earlier on saturday, has not yet issued a public statement since the Prime Minister made his remarks.

Hours prior to the press briefing, however, he tweeted images from the show, saying: “I’m thankful to have stepped away from the suit and tie, sat back and supported charitable games with some very special people. Shout out to Superintendent Alexander, Blaze, Johnny Bravo, Voice and Penny for creating a home studio and finding innovative ways to have clean inspirational VIBEZ  in these unprecedented times. The 6 of us had a fantastic time but “The Men In Black” reigned supreme, better luck next time boys!”
