PM: Government’s Vaccination Plan On Track As More Doses Expected To Arrive Next Month

By Newsroom

The Health Ministry’s goal remains having 188,900 people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by the end of July.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley revealed on Saturday that another shipment of Sinopharm vaccines purchased from China should arrive in the country in early July.

There is also confirmation that the third and final shipment of vaccines from the COVAX Facility is expected to arrive in mid-July.

Government also remains in talks with the US about a vaccine donation- PM Rowley says it could be just a matter of days before an arrangement is agreed upon, noting there has been “significant progress” in the diplomatic talks.

Lastly, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will donate another 4,000 Covid-19 vaccines to T&T. The doses, which are due to expire soon, will be used as second doses.
