Point Lisas Desalination Plant To Shutdown For Maintenance Next Week

Thousands of households in South and Central Trinidad will have their water supply affected next week, when the Point Lisas Desalination Plant is shut down to facilitate maintenance works.

The planned shutdown will take place from this Sunday to next Saturday, December 3rd.

To offset the inconvenience, WASA says there will be increased production and re-distribution of supply from the Caroni and Navet Water Treatment Plants, as well as the implementation of temporary supply schedules.

Some of the affected areas will include: Caroni, St. Helena, Charlieville, Chaguanas, Cunupia, Carapichaima, Couva, Claxton Bay, Marabella, Gasparillo, San Fernando, Cocoyea, Union Hall, La Romaine, Woodland, Palmiste, Phillipine, Rambert Village, South Oropouche, Fyzabad, Avocat, Siparia, Penal, San Francique, Rousillac, Aripero and La Brea.
