The TTPS has disclosed that officers attached to the Inter-Agency Task Force arrested a 23-year-old man after they seized a quantity of marijuana and a sum of cash at his home during a warrant exercise on Tuesday 24th October 2023.

According to police reports, from around 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. yesterday, officers went to the home of a suspect at Quarry Road, East Dry River, Port of Spain to conduct a search warrant. During the search officers a quantity of marijuana weighing 363.5 grams and $27,492.00 TT
currency was found and seized.

The accused was cautioned, arrested and conveyed to the Besson Street Police Station along with the items. He was officially charged with Possession of Cannabis. Enquiries continuing by officers of the Financial Investigations Bureau with respect to the cash seized. Inquiries are ongoing.
