The TTPS has confirmed that a Police Officer was shot at in Barataria around 8:45 pm, on Thursday 12th October, 2023.

However, while some have deemed this incident as an attack on the organisation, the TTPS does not share this view, as preliminary investigations have unearthed further information regarding the incident.

The matter is being actively investigated and more information will be shared as the investigation progresses.
