The TTPS have recovered several stolen vehicles across various Divisions over the past 48 hours.
According to the TTPS, an exercise was conducted by officers of the St. James Charge Room, Criminal Investigations Department (CID), West End CID, and the Western Division Gang Unit between 10:30 pm on Saturday 5th July and 3:30 am on Sunday 6th July, 2025. During the exercise, officers successfully recovered a red Honda Vezel, which had been reported stolen during a robbery in the Eddie Hart area the previous day.
On 5th July 2025, in the Port of Spain Division, officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force were on a mobile patrol in the division when they recovered a silver Toyota Aqua on Bath Street, Port of Spain. The vehicle was reported stolen in the Western Division the previous day.
Also on that day, in the North Eastern Division, at around 1:00 pm, officers of the San Juan CID were conducting enquiries in the Barataria Police District when they recovered a silver Nissan Tiida. The vehicle, which was found parked along Boundary Road, San Juan, had been reported stolen from the St. James District earlier that day.
Additionally, officers in the North Central Division recovered two stolen vehicles during an exercise which included members of the St. Joseph CID. While responding to a report of Robbery with Aggravation, in which a white Nissan AD Wagon was stolen from its owner, investigators were led to Hummingbird Street, Trincity. There, officers discovered the stolen AD Wagon along with an additional abandoned AD Wagon. Both vehicles were wrecked to the St. Joseph Police Station for further processing.
Investigations into these matters are ongoing.
