The TTPS yesterday April 2, seized a homemade shotgun and a quantity of marijuana following a raid in the Rio Claro area.

A 42-year-old male suspect, who was held following the operation, is assisting police with investigations into the finds. According to police reports, at 1.45 pm on April 2nd, Inter-Agency Task Force Police (IATF) police officers executed a search warrant at the Brothers Road home of the suspect where they allegedly found and seized one homemade shotgun and 29.2 kilogrammes of marijuana.

The marijuana carries an estimated street value of $438,000. The items were seized and taken into evidence and is being processed by crime scene experts. The man is currently facing firearm and drug possession and trafficking charges.
