Princes Town Man Fined $20,000 On Gun Charge

A 41 year old man was fined $20,000 after pleading guilty to charges of firearm and ammunition possession when he appeared before a Princes Town Magistrate on Friday.

Ronnie Mohammed of Lothians Road, Princes Town, will be required to pay the fine or spent 12 months in jail on hard labour.

Mohammed was arrested on Thursday by officers of the Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department (CID), who executed a search warrant at his home at Lothians Road, PrincesTown, where they found a pistol loaded with a magazine containing 10 rounds of ammunition under a pillow in a bedroom of the house.
