Princes town man to face murder charges tomorrow

Fifty-five-year-old IAN BEHARRY is expected to appear virtually before a Princes Town Magistrate tomorrow, charged with the murder of his neighbour, Devindra Narinesingh, which occurred on Sunday, October 5, 2021.

Beharry is of Friendship Road, Princes Town and was charged with the offence on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Narinesingh was 37-years-old and was a mechanical technician. According to the police report, Narinesingh was in his garden on Tuesday 5th October 2021, when he was shot in the abdomen by a gunman.

He was taken to the Princes Town Health Facility for treatment where he died. The accused was subsequently arrested after investigations which were supervised by Insp. Maharaj, Sgt. Elvin and Cpl Bridgemohan, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3. Following investigations, Beharry was charged by WPC Stacy Ann George, also of HBI Region 3.
