The search is on for four inmates who escaped from the Golden Grove Prison in Arouca last night.

A fifth escapee, Kevin Jagdeo, has already been recaptured by the authorities after being spotted in the vicinity of the Dinsley Government School.

The five men managed to escape from their cells located on the southern Side of the prison, by tampering with the roofing.
