Customers in parts of North, Central and South Trinidad, served by the Caroni Water Treatment Plant are experiencing low water pressures or in some cases no water. According to the Water and Sewerage Authority, this is because of flooded river conditions and clogged screens currently being experienced at the raw water intake of the facility due to the weather conditions as per the ITCZ.

This has resulted in production at the facility being reduced from 10:00 a.m. today, Thursday 10th November until 4:00 p.m. on Friday 11th November 2022.
