RHAs Commit To No More Than 50 Vaccination Walk-ins Per Health Centre

By Newsroom

On day two of government’s walk-in vaccination policy, several people were turned away after being informed that only 50 doses would be given out at each of the designated health centres across the country.

Elderly people with surnames A-E were asked to come in to be vaccinated today, as government tried to correct yesterday’s mayhem, which saw thousands of people turning up in hopes of receiving their shot.

Those people over age 60 from the A-E grouping who do not get vaccines today will have to wait for five days, once a supply is available.

Meantime, Tobagonians are advised that there are absolutely no walk-in vaccination services on the island.

A statement from the Tobago Regional Health Authority said the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and the first dose of  Sinopharm are currently being administered at the Scarborough, Canaan and Roxborough Health centres by appointment only.
