Robert Le Hunte has been replaced as Vice Chair of the Road to Recovery team, with Minister of Public Administration and Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Allyson West filling his spot.

The 22 member team met on Monday, some virtually, for the various committees to report on their work to date.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley thanked Mr. Le Hunte for his contribution to the process and expressed his confidence in Minister West’s ability to take the team forward.

Le Hunte’s replacement on the team is the latest domino effect that follows his abrupt resignation as Minister of Public Utilities. In a statement on Sunday, the now former Minister and Senator said his decision to leave the Cabinet came as a result of “professional conflict on policy positions”.

On Monday Morning, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley announced that Fitzgerald Hinds will return as Minister of Public Utilities and Radio Personality Jason Williams, who was recently selected to contest the Barataria/San Juan seat under a PNM ticket, will be appointed as a government Senator.
