The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) has confirmed that a slope of instability has occurred on a section of the roadway at Mosquito Creek that is currently under construction.

The organization said that works at Mosquito Creek are being undertaken as part of the Solomon Hochoy Highway Extension to Point Fortin Project. They have advised that the failure does not impact the existing flow of traffic at Mosquito Creek and does not pose any immediate danger to vehicular traffic or road users using the South Trunk Road.
