Savage X Fenty Now Worth US$1 Billion

By Lillian Searles

Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage X Fenty is now reportedly worth US$1billion.

Launched by the pop star in 2018, it is one of several businesses started by the singer, including her Fenty clothing line, makeup range Fenty Beauty and skincare line Fenty Skin.

In 2019, Savage X Fenty was said to have seen revenue growth of over 200%, while its VIP memberships have grown by over 150%.

Forbes reported that a round of Series B funding raised $115 million for the company’s upcoming expansion into retail, led by private equity firm L Catterton, in which LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has a stake.

Prior to the latest funding round, Rihanna’s estimated stake in the company was $85 million.

The multi-million dollar investment into Savage x Fenty reaffirms LVMH and Rihanna’s steadfast partnership “to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare, and lingerie.”

Recent reports have Savage x Fenty pegged to be the global lingerie market leader by 2025, which will subsequently be the same year Fenty’s women’s activewear is expected to hit $216.9 billion USD.

Rihanna also continues to disrupt the beauty industry with her Fenty Beauty line, which generated over $558 million USD in just its first full year of operation.

Fenty Skin has also proven its success, reaching $30 million USD in sales in less than four months on its e-store.
