Four days after he was reported missing by relatives, the body of 29 year old Staton Octave was found on Saturday afternoon.
Around 4pm on the Divali holiday, police officers received a call about a body found at a mud track in off Union Road in Rio Claro.
It was later confirmed to be Octave, who lived at Solomon Street, Mayaro as his mother identified him by a tattoo on his right arm.
His skull was crushed with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators are working on the theory that the was personal- given Octave’s wallet with cash and his identification card was found at the scene. Octave was reported missing to the Mayaro Police on Tuesday.
