Police have detained a second suspect in the murder of 18 year old Ashanti Riley, whose body was found in on Friday morning, five days after she went missing. 

The man was reportedly held at his Laventille home on Friday, hours after Ashanti’s nude and lifeless body was found  in a shallow watercourse in La Canoa, Santa Cruz. 

A search is also said to be underway for a third suspect.

Meanwhile the first suspect, the taxi driver of the vehicle which Ashanti boarded on Sunday, remains in police custody at this time.
